Dining Room Table in Work

The new dining room table is under way. Last night I clamped up the top. Last week I roughed out all the stock, and got the base glued up. Here are a couple of snapshots of last week’s action.

The stock, rough cut and ready for milling. That’s 5/4 mahogany in the back and two flavors of bamboo plywood (“plyboo”) in front. The mahogany is for the top. The plyboo is for the base.

The center of the base, dryfit, standing upright.

Base glued and clamped up.
